'Aikido vs taekwondo' IN ACTUAL VIDEO FORM?

That's a pretty awesome way to pass guard at the end. Oh, these legs here are hindering me. I'll just grab one of them and move it out of the way.

The main thing this shows is that a competent TKD guy still loses to a mediocre crappler.

Kung Fu guy (KFG) was coaching his fighter at MMA event.
Other guy (OG) commented that KFG was doing it wrong (telling his guy to choke while mounted).

Have you seen those Hatankai Aikido videos btw? I don't really want to post more stuff that people already know about and are sick of seeing...

As someone who has spent a lot of time training in an art related to aikido, and has spent some time training in tae kwon do, but now has a some sort of proficiency in standup, I have to say I' was sorely disappointed in that video. Both guys sucked at taekwondo and aikido.

Furthermore, I'm not convinced that was live resistance. Especially one the ground.

A Shotokan Nidan who is now training Aikido is teaching some basic striking exercises so as to train better. I hope one one day i'll have a chance to spar with someone from another style, even though i'm not confident in my skills at all...

If you compare the TKD guys war cry at 1:14 and again at 2:06 its is clear what has happened
Aikido guy has drained the budo from TKD guy and has thus weakened him

My kickboxing coach always yelled at ME when my sparring partners dropped their hands.

Is that a real KF stance - anyone?
Or was the guy just demonstrating contempt for his opponent?

Would've been great to have been a fly on the wall beforehand, when the Kung Fu man was telling his students about how he was gonna go over there and whoop ass on this guy for disrespecting his Kung Fu, or dishonouring him on a personal level, or whatever...

Well, his legs were moving like a kung fu guy, but I've never seen a style that advocated keeping the hands on the pockets like that. Kung fu people I've sparred either fight with one hand high and the other lower, or with both hands up.
