    Fourth Round

What do you think about adding a fourth round to MMA standard fights? As time goes on the fighters are getting more and more conditioned. So many fights go to the judges and it seems the elite fighters are just getting warmed up.

So what happens if a fighter wins two rounds, then the other one wins two rounds?

Great question lol, guess make all five rounds, and champions 7, or call it a draw.

They are making all main events 5 rounds in the UFC, I can't remember when this is supposed to take effect, but soon. I don't know if it's true or not, but I heard title fights were going to 7 also.

Seems to me that the longer you make the fight, the less anyone is going to want to expend themselves in any particular round. Grinding out decisions will take 10 minutes longer, so I'm not a big fan of the idea. Ending on an even number round--we can't rely on the judges as is, I wouldn't want to set that kind of task in front of them.

I like the 3 round format. If a fighter is bound and determined to play it safe (which is certainly their prerogative), they can only be boring for 15 minutes.
