Oh we have THREADS on that video. Terrible terrible threads. I think that is one of the early war starters.

People went to war for that? A vast hoard of chunners, and rbsd posters riding Elm0reMules and wielding the dreaded fluffy pillows of failure.

and yeah, I was gonna say...what's with the back of the knee? Was that an auto-break? A matrix-move? I felt I lost a little of my soul when I saw that. IIF, you have links to said threads of d3adly dread?

I'll try to find them they were terrible. It's funny because, bullshido is know for WC hate. When I joined a large majority of the hate was chun vs real chun vs modified chun and lineage wars from other chunners.

So many chuns out there and still non of them work
maybe if they combined they could create some sort of super chun where anti grapple actually works (by this i mean they just train bjj)

in your opinion IIF, would you say the lineage wars and _un vs _un debates were more vicious, and flamey, than chun vs all?

Was there a mass chun exodus at some point?

"Why should we work on perfecting wrestling style takedowns, when they're ineffective, easy to counter, and put you on the ground on the street (his buddies are gonna stomp on you!). If someone manages to get past my low kicks AND chain punches AND elbows, then they're gonna lose when I gouge their eye out and rip off their groin. They don't train or know how to counter such tactics. Woe is the grappler that attacks a chunner."

Basically, it's that repeated by lots of angry noobs. Or you have the occasional chunner apologist who thinks that it's a good art if you cross train. Apparently it fits in the range between striking and the clinch, and only exists for a split second like some kind of hedron collider craziness.

chainpunches do have the relative impact of nanoparticles colliding with an elephant's anus...and some of the chun threads definitely do smell like it. I see an experiment there. Have _hunners climb into an elephants rear. If they can chainpunch their way out, they get their brown belt.

Is there an inverse Heisenberg principle at work? You can simultaneously observe 'chun' working, and gauge the distance to the nearest frozen lunge punch, or sloppy 1/4 speed double-leg?

Yes a large majority of Chunners take all slights personal. Back when I joined it was all about respect this art whine whine whine.

What I've noticed in the last year, is that BJJ is heading down that road Now, they compete and therefore it will never get that bad. Still, it is interesting to see people use others fight claims as proof of an opinion.

Was there a mass chun exodus at some point?

Most traditional arts can not handle negativity whether it is warranted or not. Certain arts have angrier posters and Wing Chun is one of them followed closely by Kempo and RBSDers are third.

So, they get tired of being berated. They never stop to think that maybe if they sparred people would respect their opinions.
