    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    Martial arts, and stuff.

    Hey guys,

After my VCE I want to get into some training again. I am a Melbournian from the eastern area.

I would like a proper martial art. I want to hit things and throw people.

I don't care about connections to culture, fancy uniforms and belts.

Now so far a pretty good option has been

    www.extremejjg.com

I want to start with a grappling style, but have the option to do striking later or simultaneously. As for grappling, BJJ or Judo are most appealing.

The bio on the site says they hold rank in Judo, but I expect it's a BJJ oriented class. I have done a tiny bit of Judo and loved it.

But my inner poseur would love to try San Da if it's available. I seen some vids of some beastly ass motherfucking competition.

So to sum up, this school should have Judo, BJJ and some sort of striking option. Good luck guys.

Well you got kickboxing. That's a good place to end up.

Judo and BJJ are both good options, as for striking I would suggest Boxing or Muay Thai. If I were grappling again (never actually did much, a couple months of BJJ and 3 of Judo) I would probably go back to BJJ. The Judo was a blast, but I felt like I was getting proficient at a quicker pace with Jiu-Jitsu. A school with both would be sick, though.

May I ask where you're based?

That said, I would love to have a Judo school near me.

Well that settles it doesn't it?

I am only about 10 minutes north of extreme so naturally it is my first and best option.

I'll see you there after this hectic VCE period finishes.

Until then we'll always have Bullshido *sniffs*

    Lol.

You wish. I live in North Vic, mate. My Dojo is affiliated with extreme. So, I'll see your lazy ass at Pan pacs because JD Will want as many people as possible to compete.
    (They in Sep, I believe.)

Good luck with your VCE exams. Ah, memories.

Education takes priority my dear boy. We can't all be posting on internet forums. Some of us have to be learned men of science.

I'm touched you'd think I'd make pan pacs ever. Gotta make the cut somewhere.

Pan pacs is an open comp. Aust titles are in Darwin (which is why I'm not going)
