Alistair Overeem vs Fabricio Werdum
Josh Barnett vs Brett Rogers
I'm gonna say more after the fights, but at this point I honestly see Overeem as numero uno, bar none. JDS and Velasquez are a level lower to me.

Overeem also has an underrated ground game. And after he packed on all that size... I'm sure his subs and sub defense are that much better. Not to mention his complete destruction of all the best kickboxers in the world last K-1. Seems pretty unbeatable right now.
I'm really interested in the Monson fight. I think Barnett will win in pretty dominate fashion, as well, if he can keep from taking a flush hit. -

I fucking hate Overeem and his puffy steroid shitface. His MMA record is also nothing to write home about with a distinct lack of top ten wins to warrant him getting the amount of ball-tongueing he gets by people impressed by his muscular manboobs. I also remain unimpressed with him beating up natural LHW's in K-1 and then finishing off an already halfway dead Peter Aerts.
That being said, I see Overeem as being a bit like Lesnar: good at one aspect of the game and unproven in the others, but so fucking enormous and powerful he can still flatten better fighters than him with ease.
I predict Overeem will KO Werdum and go on to KO Rogers in the final.
Barnett is a very overlooked and excellent fighter, but he has not exactly awed me lately and I predict that a game Rogers will be able to splat him. If he's game, that is, as he looked tentative and timid in his last bout. Toss up for me, really, although Barnett will likely dominate him easily if the fight hits the floor. -

Style: BJJ--
Overeem vs Werdum
I really really like Fabricio Werdum. He's an excellent BJJ black belt, and a very mild mannered fighter, which i admire. However, I don't see Alistair making Fedor's mistakes, and I absolutely don't see Werdum even holding a candle on the feet. I've gotta give this one to the big man. I see a Rd. 1 or 2 KO or TKO with the slight possibility of a landslide decision if Werdum can pull guard/buttscoot his way into surviving in there with the Demolition Man.
Rogers vs Barnett
Barnett is a great wrestler, but I don't think that is enough to keep Rogers down. I also think Rogers has got a better stand up game. I'm guessing Rd. 2 TKO by Rogers. A combo to knock him off his feet and a GnP finish.
I also just want Jeff Monson to win. That guy is awesome. i'm pulling for him regardless of his opponent. -
