Because they're doing pretty much everything wrong, which is indicative not of the expected learning curve of a beginner, but the incompetence of the instructor.

Hey guys listen, I'm going to bow out of this discussion. Thanks to those who were civil. I'm not sure what else I can add. If you think we suck then you are free to think that.
