Favorite Judo Combinations
I was just wondering what your favorite Judo combinations were. Not necessarily tournament legal, just in general.
Here are some of mine:
1. Ouchi-Gari, Kouchi-Gari, Harai-Goshi
Everyone knows the Ouchi\Kouchi combo, here is a clip of the latter half of the combo: http://youtu.be/ox-y7J6uNbc
2. Ouchi-Gari, Kouchi-Gari, Uchi-Mata
3. Tomoe-Nage, Juji-Gatame
here is a good clip: http://youtu.be/N45DeWh2XEA
4. Yoko-Tomoe-Nage, Juji-Gatame
5. Ippon-Seoi-Nage, Kata-Guruma
6. Kata-Guruma, Kibisu-Gaeshi
7. Ippon-Seoi-Nage, Kani-Basami
Does anybody even practice kani-basami anymore? It was a favourite of mine as a kid but it's been straight-up illegal (as in, no situation where you can execute it and not be DQd) for decades.
I've never practiced it nor have I met anyone who practices it.
Never really sure of the point of these threads, they're usually just an opportunity for kyu grades to excitedly swap the combinations they wish they could do, but can't. Not really much merit in that, I always think.
Well now you've met someone who used to practice it, but that was the 70s. Made it work a few times in randori but never in shiai IIRC.

A particularly famous Kani basami:
Ko uchi gari -> uchi mata
Uchi mata -> ouchi gari, especially on left handers
Uchi mate -> tani otoshi
Ouchi gari -> tai otoshi
