Style: Savate (LBF/SD/LC) - BJJ--
Mike, you got some backlash because you weren't here and don't know the context in which the video was posted the first time (in 2010).
Some troll/wannebee posted it here as an attempt to get respect from the community.
This backfired 200% since we aren't here to mock "non-standard" overweight people swinging a sword in their garden, but to mock "standard" overweight people swinging a sword (hence the popularity of Mountain Dew Ninja).
About the kid in the vid: if he's happy getting youtube training and swinging a (dummy) sword, who are we to complain about it.
IIRC he came up with some great names for techniques in the style of "Dragon Tail Tornado Attack", which I personally prefer than names as "gogoplata" and "omoplata" and I'm a 10th PJJ adapt.
About Tharuz: He was an overweight kid that started to learn Muay Thai and BJJ, but couldn't, even if his life would depend of it, post one single post on topic in combination with talking smack to every poster on this site and challenging almost every poster to a Gong-Sau.

Wow. Im no Tharuz. I will point out that my original post was under the thin premise that the man in the clip was me. It in no way targeted him as an individual or made light of his (Then unknown to me) difficulties.
Also, it should be noted, as is visible in my style field, that I am under no illusions as to my size, fitness or skill, I have been discussing my noob status in Judo as of late. -
