I am a former TKD student

My name is Yixin and I am a former student of Tae Kwon Do.

I learned TKD from this guy: http://www.namskicksusa.com/ (Grandmaster Nam)

I did it for a long time and I actually enjoyed it. We kicked each other in the groin regularly and a good time was had by all.

Not once did I think (or was I told for that matter) that I was learning effective, transferable combat skills useful in the ring or on the street.

That is all.

What is your point ???? You want some kind of approval from the Bullshido community that your TKD was the good kind of TKD School? They should have said to you well this is a TKD School but what we learn is acrobatic Move and they are pointless for self defense and if you are a 12 years old school you will give you a black belt in 1 year.......

No need to apologise to us, you need to apologise to yourself. I often do this when I think about the many years I wasted on Wing chun and other bullshit I learned. If I hadn't had wasted all those years I might have had a Judo & BJJ Black Belt tag above my name

People apologizing to anyone, either themselves or others, for doing something they used to enjoy that didn't harm anyone, should seriously re-evaluate a few things.
