The "rains down in Africa" bogged some trucks down in the mud and the Cubans were using a T51 to pull them out, which gave the "contractor" a perfect shot on the tank with his Hellfire. Raytheon has the photos in one of their visitor areas captioned as the first confirmed kill by a Hellfire.
The line "there is nothing that a hundred or so men couldn't do" refers to the ability of a small group of well trained mercenaries to overthrow unstable governments in Africa.
Think about that the next time you think this song is gay.
You name your band after Dorothy's dog in the Wizard of Oz and ANY song you do will be considered gay.
I have emotions.

Toto didn't write the lyrics. They bought the lyrics from a song writer who used to be involved with a band composed of vets and vets who were former "contractors" in Cambodia and Africa after Vietnam. The song writer himself was neither a vet nor a "contractor."
If this gig is really just a glorified sparring session and your song needs to be silly, go with Culture Clubs "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me" option. By far the silliest suggestion yet.
