I think it's pretty obvious that Rudy was hitting Anthony hard enough. Anthony was blocking with his face, and could have been KTFO for it.

I should have challenged Josh to 1 round of SanDa and 1 round of BJJ :D

True, the rules of fight are in my mind the most influencing factor. Id never do a points match against a foot tagger (TKD) or chest bumper (Chunner).

That's the whole throwdown, I'm the tubby guy in the grey t-shirt sparring a couple of minutes in to one of those. There's a video in the throwdown thread showing what kind of pushing hands match I'm going to have with uk_judoka.
