Hand Protection for Focus Mitt training?

For focus mitt training, what kind of gloves should I buy?

Are there specific gloves made for this purpose?

If so where can I get them?

Are hand wraps necessary for focus mitt training?

Here is a video of fedor doing some focus mitt work. Was wondering what his gloves were?

    Thanks

    bag gloves, from ringside.com don't spend more than $55. I'd get 16oz.

You need good bag gloves (14oz is fine, no less) and 180" hand wraps. Use both unless you want to get injured. Titleboxing.com sells both.

Nah, I figured I'd just counter your useless trolling with actual helpful information. Thanks anyway though guy. Way to violate your own forum rules by trolling the noobs in here BTW.

    1. I'm fucking with you
    2. **** you, you didn't really give good advice. I did.

Why don't you take a second and actually look at the question and realize you pretty much don't know what you're talking about?

Look, I openly admit that I'm brand new to boxing and I hardly know anything. I am here to learn. So the point I'm trying to make with this exchange with you is why don't you share some of your knowledge from your experience instead of fucking with people.

Lovely Newbietown thread.. The Deliverator has a point in that there isn't supposed to be trolling in this area, however Omega has a better point. If the OP isn't a troll, then I feel like giving any kind of advice here would be irresponsible on my part.

In that vein, and in the spirit of Newbietown, I am not going to tell you what I personally do. Instead, assuming you aren't going to take Omega's advice, I say just look around you at your club. Do what the other students are doing, and what your coach tells you to. If you are not at a club, and are not learning under a coach, then you probably shouldn't be worried about how properly to train with focus mitts.

14oz gloves for padwork? That's way too heavy, 8oz tops.
