Rudy Abel Appreciation Thread

Rudy Abel the man who keeps us honest. He's been here nearly from the beginning and despite his kung fu handicap has embraced our ways. Where would we be without Rudy? There would be no Eargrynd. There would be no Moons of Jupiter. (was that him) We would still think Kung Fu was effective. (this doesn't sound right)

Without Rudy who would we rail against? Who would host our offsite enemies of the state? Rudy is the Rallying point for all of silly kung fu-dom which really isn't fair because Rudy actually does fight. I don't think he even owns a single pair of silk pajamas. (maybe)

Anyway, Thanks for all you stand for Rudy.

For real, you are right. And for what it's worth, Rudy - You're my favourite spanner in the works over here.

You somehow manage to make noobs squirm in their seats and feel uncomfortable as soon as they realize that you manned up and showed to the fight.

Let's be honest here - I'm putting my money on Anthony whupping ass vs a fairly large portion of this site's membership. Your opponent just had you outclassed. Bigger guy, better training.

That being said, the fight is over and you lost, but what I personally don't like is when noobs somehow take this to mean that they will beat you themselves, simply by virtue of the art they train in.

Some of them would be right, of course - but without showing up to any throwdown or gong sau themselves, their words are as hollow as yours were before the fight.

So Rudy, any amount of dislike I have for you, I generally dislike garden variety noobs more.
In my mind you're still one of the guys who showed up, and that puts you on a short list anyway.

If you're not fighting and winning, you have no legit platform to be critical of Rudy's fight perfomance. Anthony is the one who beat him, not bandwagon92, canIbeacoolKid2 or anyone else. There is a legit criticism of how Rudy reacted to the loss, but to make it you'd have to actually read what he said; not just recycle a meme.
