Probably because it was the first day off crutches too. I wasn't doing the techniques. I've done them for years, I was helping new teammates with everything

I know the feeling. I would have started full ne waza randori (rolling, basically) a few weeks ago had my coach let me. But, wisely, he did not. (Have I mentioned I've been rolling with MY LEGS TIED TOGETHER-no fun.) Ligaments, as I've learned, are fibrous strings. A sprain means you've broken a few of them. A tear means you've broken all of them. Those strings take a long time to heal because there's not much blood supply there. And the more you screw with them, the slower they heal. Are you doing physical therapy?

Nope.. Nothing I just had my MRI today. I won't get results until next Friday. I can't handle all this waiting I've run out of painkillers and have to go a week before I see anyone again. Random stabbing pains started 2 days ago while I was sitting at work. I havent done anything but work and chill at home because of the pain.
I don't like this runaround I just want a set diagnosis and to start whatever treatment necessary. -

A week to get MRI results? That's insane. You should have them in a day or two. Try calling the place that did your MRI on Monday or Tuesday and see if they have results.
I've noticed that if I leave my knee in a partially flexed position (like sitting) it stiffens up. It's much better if I remember to move it every 30 minutes or so. -

i hear you. the worst part about waiting for MRI results is that the tech who ran the machine could tell you what you need to know right away, but due to liability issues, he won't, and you will wait for a radiologist to look. i know this because i used to work in an MRI lab that was doing medical research. it was good for me, cause i could get a free MRI, and the techs would tell me what was up, and if they weren't sure, i worked with several radiologists as well, but it really showed me how wrong our system is.
sucks about the painkillers. 3 weeks into my separated shoulder i am down to one pill a day and tomorrow i am stopping them all together. still hurts a lot, but i can handle it and like the reminder that i am still hurt."Face punches are an essential character building part of a martial art. I deal with the pain until I'm home. But by then I get the sharp pains pretty frequently. My mom is an MRI tech in another state I am sending her a copy so I can't get a free second opinion. If they are going to jerk me around I am going to get other opinions. He'll they could have just given me the MRI. I know how to read them (thank you mom!) at least I will know if they are lying to me
