Yea not wearing my injury like a badge. I'm actually super bummed about mine and have replayed the accident in my head... It sucks.
I think most of us are making light of our injuries to keep ourselves positive and upbeat. Commiserating and knowing you're not alone makes it easier to go through the whole ordeal. -

I already knew the techniques I was helping new students and I admit to pushing it a little too much with the position but actually goin through the whole technique, big no no, I knew I wasn't strong enough for that
I've also been off crutches a total of 2 days and have pushe the walking thing. At the end of the day yea, I'm sore. -

Yea this is here so we can stay positive. Because like today was for me, a bad day, I got home from work and has stabbing pains, even though I had done everything right today, worn the brace etc. I need a place to laugh and see that others may be having bad days with their injuries too...
Sorry, I'm having a death cab for cutie day today -

That's okay, you're actually injured instead of just bitching about people being injured for some reason.
I managed to go to the store without crutches today. Then took a wrong step in the bathroom at home, searing pain! haha. Well, still, accomplished something today.Last edited by Evergrey; 6/16/2011 2:11am at .

You folks with injured knees need to cool it with the training. DLR -- are you out of your mind?
I sprained my MCL (grade 2) about 7 weeks ago. I'm doing ne waza with my legs tied together -- and will for a few more weeks. The knee is still sore from time to time.
The first two weeks are the acute phase--swelling, lots of pain, other nastiness. It gets better after that, but ligaments are very slow to heal. Much longer than you think. My doc said I should be 100% in another ~6 weeks or so. Longer if I screw it up again. I can't really do standing randori until its all better, either.
