EuroMega Throwdown 3: It has begun!

EuroMega 3 Throwdown 2011 (come to Belgium for fries and fisticuffs).

City: Leuven (Lovain), Belgium

Place: Sportfaculty Catholic University Leuven (Judo hall)

Date: Saturday, the 1st of October 2011

Hours: from 12 o'clock until 18 o'clock the TD, than the old market of Leuven until....
I know a great Belgian restaurant, so bring some lunch money with you.

Seminar(s): yes, which ones I'm not sure off yet, probably one by my Muay Thai Khru and I'll try to get one in BJJ, Freestyle Wrestling or Savate. Still in planning stages.

Someone bring along a camera! (I'll bring mine too)

- gloves (4oz for MMA, minimum 14oz for MT)

How to get there by train

Brussel - Leuven: one-way-ticket train 2nd class is around 5€.

Best is to buy a one-way-ticket from Brussels to Leuven and the second day when you return you buy an one-way-ticket to Brussels, because a two-way-ticket is exactly the double, but you have to use it on the same day.

Train from Brussels to Leuven is easy: there are 3 stations in Brussel, South, Central and North. Get on a train in one of these stations, once you have passed the 3 Brussels stations, the next one is Leuven (takes about 22 à 26 minutes).

For train tickets: on the week-ends you can get a week-end ticket which you can use from Friday 19:00 'till Sunday 23:59 (to and fro) and which costs about as normal one-way fare.

Should we look for accomodations in Leuven, or in Brussels?

Also, when do we play the drinking game? Friday or Saturday?

Leuven is 17 minutes by train from Brussels, but once midnight there aren't any trains running anymore until 06:30, so it would be a long drinking game.
Personally I find accomadations in Leuven better and it is the place that has "the longest bar in Europe" a.k.a all the bars in the Old Market (and I know almost every bouncer there), so best is to start the drinking game on the Saturday after Throwdown and dinner.

Im there, Tell those chocolate shops to stock up! Im on my way and will be accepting no excuses for lack of chocolate!

Ill definitly be staying in Leuven this time as I had to leave early last time and missed most of the flaming and drinking.

Okay, I'll be in Leuven starting with Friday 1st, then.

And guys, I promise you, we will hit the booze so hard, TS kidnaps a baby, PDA marries a stripper, Lebell gets locked up on the hotel roof,
and Zendo wakes up with a face tattoo.

Ahem, TS does not partake in the consumption of alcoholic beverages. PDA leaves early. Lebell is a Born Again Christian. And Zendo already has a tattoo on his face... No wait, that is his face :OpenMouth:

Seriously, I don't drink.

@Zendo: Could you pinpoint the exact location on Google Maps, please. I remember it took me longer than an hour to find it last time...
