I would lay even odds that Anthony learned far more about striking during any and all of his *suspected/alleged* private lessons from the ATT pros (even if they were grappling only) than he did during his old Goju training.

I think the elephant in the room that comes with discussing the legitimacy of Anthony's striking training, is the startling conclusion that Rudy didn't have any legitimate striking training either for that fight. Unfortunately for him it showed, though not as badly as Anthony's did.

I don't think the thing was billed as vet vs. vet. My understanding of it post-gong-sau was that Anthony was a no0b at BJJ, and with that, and whatever else he had (little) intended to pwn Rudy's however-many-years of tma forms. It went down, kinda how someone who'd seen a lot of mma-rules competitions might have imagined. Forms guy looks good for a bit, has trouble adjusting to resets, or sport rules particulars (haha), gets tackled and taken out of element, subbed with a pain move, due to inexperience in alive/resistant/hard training/sparring.
I say this having been impressed by Rudy's forms. It's just that it's not fighting. I saw some **** where he was tumbling, and doing the whole jet li bit, it was sweet. I do watch forms things online, and enjoy immensely, I don't have that skill. That's part of why I love to prod him/(you, I guess you're reading it Rudeboy), you have a talent. Fighting isn't it, but it's impressive, all jokes aside.
@ Rudy: Were you completely untalented, I wouldn't put any effort at all into anything concerning you, in any way. I sing about 3 hours-a-day all out, and don't have much energy for other things, including mockery (I make exceptions for photoshop/gimp opportunities).
I like Matt's definition of eargrind. It's meaty, and has potential. Can I get some examples in everyday speech?

It's worth a bump, to state that Eargrynd now means a band, all Bullies, and merch is a comin.
Here's a joke shirt.
We'll def. play the mega. So from now on, when you think of eargrind...you can think of Eargrynd the band.
Here to kick your ass.

here's how I enjoy my coffeGrynds.
So for the band motto...I'm thinking
"He who never falls, never gets back up...to fall again"
how is that?
"Yes Neko, please keep telling me more about your manly collection of Star Wars audiobooks"

Now to be fair (I was there, and this is something Anthony/Pandinha had said before too), Rudy was doing good on the standing, he got some good punches in, and lost it once it went to the ground and Anthony decided to forget about subs and rain some GnP.
THAT OUT OF THE WAY, Eargrind has become a synonymous of the shitty excuse to avoid admitting somebody got the better of you, it was a silly excuse, but nowadays it has gone beyond Rudy vs. Anthony (IMHO)

EDIT: c'mon man, you gotta admit it's funny we got a band out of it. The booj slippers has a nice ring to it, but Eargrynd is magnificent. Prepare to have the band, eclipse the move...here...and EVERYWHERE ON THE INT3RNETS..where's my beer?
