I am going to try and book it for Oxford Brooke's university sports centre like the last Oxford Throwdown. That was a nice venue with plenty of mat space, but it's a bit of a hike from the rail and bus stations.

Ahhh, I think these guys train on a Tuesday and Thursday which I can't do. I would very much like to hit people with sticks.

I count how many people turn up and divide the cost of hiring the hall by that, then there's your travel. Last time this sports hall cost ~40-50 for the afternoon IIRC, and somewhere in the range 10-20 people turned up. I made a profit last time without asking to because some people insisted on stuffing a £5 into my hand and wouldn't accept any change. I have no intention of trying to make a profit.

Is it £40 even for noobs? I can't afford that, especially when I can leave a few sticks within easy reach then just agitate the missus and she will try and hit me for free

Bastard! I gave you a tenner and you gave me £5 back! Now I know that the whole "my wife demands I leave" spiel was just to rake in the wonga and avoid putting the mats away :P

Has a date been agreed upon? Also, concerning the rules and such. If i can find someone else to agree, are current MMA rules ok. San Shou is teh gay for the grappelz.
