shotfighter, up until about a year ago I would have been with you. In the sense that, intellectually, some cancers have better prognoses than others. However, that doesn't make them "better" in any way. No matter the outcome, everyone with cancer legitimately fears for their life, and they suffer. The survivors don't have it easy.

Around a year ago, my father was diagnosed with prostate cancer, and immediately pushed into action. Thankfully, his cancer was caught early, and he had access to good doctors who treated him quickly and well. At this point, his prognosis is looking very good. But with cancer, you never know, and even if it disappears now, he will have to live the rest of his life with the fear that it will return to try to take his life. As the loved one of someone with cancer, I can tell you personally that it doesn't matter what type of cancer he had, or how good his prognosis is. He suffered greatly both physically and emotionally, and so did myself and everyone of his loved ones. Not only will the threat of this haunt him for the rest of his life, but (to an admittedly lesser extent), it will haunt me too.

It just dawned on me how big a pussies some of you fucking whiners are. I just got off the floor teaching kickboxing to 65 year old woman who used to smoke for 20 years, survived a bout with cancer, was an incest survivor, and didn't start working out until she was 60. She works out 6 days a week.

I do privates with a guy who had hip replacement 4 months ago and worked through deteriorated hip before that. He's 67 and he's in here almost every single day.

My mom, who is 67 years old, also a cancer survivor and hasn't exercised in decades, decided to join my muay thai class two months ago.

One of my favorite training partners at my gym died on the operating table during emergency open heart surgery last year. He was dead for 22 minutes. He is 60+ and still trains his ass off 4+ days a week.
