White Dragons of Bushido, Ogden Utah

White Dragons mixes shotokan and taekwondo for striking with judo and aikido for up close work. There are 2 locations in Ogden, and one in nearby Brigham City Utah. The main emphasis is on training young people, but adults are welcome. The school has students as young as 3 years old, up through students in their 60's. There are separate classes for "Little Dragons" (ages 3-10) and mixed adult and youth classes. It a fun, vibrant atmosphere we a good variety of senseis with backgrounds in several martial arts. Weekly, there are classes in forms, sparring, weapons, basics-training, cardio kick boxing, and judo/aikido. It's not a MMA school, more like an attempt at a balanced approach using the knowledge of all the instructors. Very limited wrestling/mat work. The school used to be involved in a lot of tournaments/competition, but has evolved away from that.

No, not any more. I studied there about 3 years, but I've slipped out in the last few months. I still think it's a good school, I've just got marriage on the horizon, and my job has me traveling a lot these days.

cool. I left before everything shot to hell out there back in 93 or 94. I'll still say hi to ron, but I don't care to ever learn from that system again.

Ron is long gone, some strange things happened there. I think he actually started a new school in north Ogden somewhere. I saw him in the hospital last winter and said hello.

    Ron bennett

GrandMaster Bennett is the best instructor out there. Those teaching in layton and at the mall and at 4th street need to remember who taught them. If it weren't for Grandmaster bennett, they would not be where they are at today.

Nevermind who it is. They just need to remember who taught them.
