His heart was visible, and the dismal sack that maketh excrement of what is eaten.

So, I finally got around to listening to Slash's newest album. I wasn't looking forward to hearing it really. Expected the same old ****. I decided to give it a chance because when I heard his last album he did a couple songs with Myles Kennedy. I thought, hmm that's pretty good. They should do a whole album. They did, so I gave it a listen.
After listening to the whole thing about three times I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised. They put some good songs together. Myles Kennedy's vocals are awesome.
But what surprised me the most was the fresh guitar sounds. Didn't see that coming. It's still Slash, so there's still the prescribed dose of power chords and wah of course. He's finally bringing some new tones and interesting licks though. If I didn't know better I'd think he has actually been practicing and working on his chops instead of relying on his hat to carry him through the rest of his career.
He tears the ass out of this one. I'm at work now with the volume off, so if this video sucks find another one yourself you lazy bastards.
