1977 Eddie and the Hot Rods. BBC Top of the Pops. This is a great performance with good sound. The 'live' version from that era is Terrific but doesn't sound as good as this studio version. Good stuff.

Blackmore is a modern master. I dredged up an interchangeable Rainbow / Deep Purple incarnation with an interesting fast tempo Since You Been Gone.


His latest group, Blackmore's Night is an interesting Minstrel / Renaissance thing. It is quite a departure from the 70's and 80's
