ice is good when there is a bleed going on. Also pressure on the leg. best combo is frozen beans or something of the sorts wrapped with a bandage for added pressure . dont put the ice directly on the skin at-list one layer of bandage in between. put it for 15 minutes than back to the freezer for 20 minutes than back again.
Thanks for all the suggestions. I ended up doing a combination of massage & icing and within 2-3 days the bruises were completely gone.
