I just did some reading on Scotch eggs, so this thread has been useful. Not sure where I could try one in San Diego without making it myself.

I love these types of schemes. Commission based selling in untested markets are always "unique and pioneering", the idea is always "the first of its kind". They are always looking for someone "who can bring a bit of flair to the role and are top level salespeople". You will be required to work long hours "at first, but when you reach Customer Development Client Co-ordinator Business Manager you will be earning more than most people make in a lifetime". The commission structure is something they "are trying out because we want to make sure our salespeople are looked after" with the bonus' and payouts determined on levels attainable only by selling your soul to Satan. You are always told they are looking at other people for the role and they "might get back to you tomorrow or the next day, because this role is highly sought after", but they will contact you that afternoon saying "you got the job, I bet you are really happy!" They also provide "full training on site", a codeword for indoctrination.

I once worked for a real estate company that gave you two free airline tickets to a domestic location if you let them manage your rent. Airline tickets to a domestic location!

Now I am a die hard Kyokushin/Shotokan trained traditionalist I will say that as neither of those styles are available for me to train in near my home. GKR is a good way to strengthen the basics and also gives you a chance to get back into training prior to going back to hard core styles.

So I am using this style as a chance to show off a bit and to rebuild my stamina before trekking back to Kyokushinkai.

And it is dirt cheap $10.00Au for a 1 1/2 to 2 hour training session and a good work out.

So while ultimatley they are a joke to the traditional styles they are a better alternative to paying through the nose for a gym.

Particulary when my sensei acknowledged my Kyokushinkai rank last night and I happily ran the class into the ground with first and second kata. And when I didn't get the responses I would normally get push-ups were done even by the Sensei.

I had fun.
