Shiai today. Before my first match, a referee looked at my gi and said that I should get it pulled, it was just a little too short (especially the sleeves). After getting it pulled, he told me that I should hang it after washing on two hangers and then attach a 20 lb (~9 kilo) weight to it. Evidently, this would pull it out enough. I'm not really sure how this hits the sleeves, though (but the skirt was maybe a bit short as well, so it's not a bad idea). Anyone know how to fix this?
Also, I discovered that mashing the seoi nage button allows you to ippon everyone, even against larger opponents.

I'm buying another gi anyway, but I'd like to have the choice between using either, as this Fushida's served me well, and the US dollar is too shitty right now to get another Fushida

Try stretching the sleeves if possible, just be careful to make sure it's not the seam at the shoulder bearing whatever weight you're going to use.

Yup. I'd just give your old gi to the club and buy a new one for yourself, and Fluffers is right about the seams not bearing the weight.

Get a dan grade at your club to show you the shiai shrug or buy a new gi.
