60 Kilos? wow, you are a pretty slender fellow :)
You actually look tons heavier and more muscular than your opponent.

It actually looks like he is completely unaccustomed to actual combat, the way he ducks his head down.

It's a shame the fukken ref breaks it up so often.
Looks to me like the only way you're going to get a throw is if you literally dive for it. (nice tomoe nage, btw - but even then the retard ref is calling out break when the joker is clearly being thrown.)

In addition: are the body protectors there to stop your heart from exploding?

Colin until the day when chi-ins are standard, body protectors are the only way to prevent the intentional bursting of targeted internal organs by advanced practitioners.

Typical sanda rules only allow a few seconds in the clinch.

    3 seconds, unless I'm mistaken.

Yep, though the ref's interpretation of that rule varied in several matches, although in fairness he was the only ref and was going all day.

I took it for granted that the ref was calling the match according to the rules, I suppose my gripe is that I think 3 seconds is really a little less clinch time than someone often needs.

I can appreciate that this restricts effective throws/takedowns to REALLY effective throws/takedowns - but I think if they gave 5 seconds as opposed to three, we might end up with a better overall fight.

Your 'fight' ended up looking like a montage of tekken replays from different angles.
You stride in, he cowers, you beat him in the head, grab him, ref calls break.
    repeat ad nauseum.
