Spoke to my mate at Dragonfist freestyle yesterday,& I'll have an answer today or tomorrow.
Won't need to worry about liability, just the same kind of waivers we've all signed before acknowledging our stupidity in case of injury.

I've never had to deal with insurance for MA,but I've dealt with liability for rock shows & corporate events for years, both personal & business liabilty & excess etc.
It's possible to get one off coverage for any kind of show / event, but it's usualyy pretty damn expensive & a paperwork nightmare.
I could be wrong, but I'd expect to have to sell a kidney to cover the excess alone if there were no paramedics.

I've got my senior first aid,for what it's worth ( not much in reality )

My beard is pretty mighty itself. Come along to the TD and we'll compare.

With First Aid, beards and Ninja's, we should be set! All we need is that venue.

Unfortunately they wont allow us into the hall with the appropriate insurance. They are covering their ass if they get into trouble aswell as insurance just incase Colin knocks down a wall trying to do a double leg take down on me.

I've tracked down an insurance company and emailed them about a one day insurance package. I need numbers first as the price depends on the participants.

As for responsible supervisors, Danno is a certified instructor (I'm pretty sure that involves First Aid too, don't it Dan?), that should be enough. Anyone else got credentials?

Me too, the school I frequent the most is in Liverpool - but the cool thing about Sydney is that as long as it's near a train station, it's accessible!
Do you, by any chance, go to one of the two Sinosic Perosh Martial Art centres?

I go to both - due to work I go to which ever one is convenient at the time. I'm usually at Liverpool, but generally go to Concord on Mondays for sparring (I work late on Thursdays, so miss out on sparring usually at Liverpool). A couple of the others on this thread train or have trained at SPMA as well. Why do you ask?

I've been keeping my eye on that club coz I heard it was fab. Once I can convince my parents that my chances of being physically harmed walking from the gym to the train station at 9pm, I might go there for some trials.

If you don't mind, can you pm me the pricing and the number of female members etc etc?
