non humor answer- attach it to a pull up bar for pull-ups that give you an insane grip exercise.

Right, I've replace two of them. One is going to become the solo workhorse gi (gi pull ups, wear if working out in the cold, etc.). The other will be a loaner. Some of the other tops I have will have to be replaced soon too so I'll get more crafty then.

The trousers will keep going since theyíre hidden by the magic pants in aikido. In judo and jits the knees donít get the same friction as suwariwaza so patched knees are fine. Once theyíre not up to that anymore they become shorts, patch material, or recently a roll up bag for short sticks and knife trainers.
Itís an excess of tops I have now. Ideas / things Iíve tried: wear for solo work outs, throw over the bar for gi pull ups, wrapping up a grappling dummy or donating to a club to wrap noobs in.
Has anyone come across any good DIY to do with old tops or trousers other than these?

*edit*just found this topic on judo info here, I should widen my search next time before posting*/edit*
Buy some short shorts and become a member of a SAMBO club.

like donoraen says, throw it over anything that will hold your weight, i.e. pullup bar, treebranch, etc, and use it to do pullups

Two things that I did before:

    1) Make a bed for my cat

    2) Hang it out of somewhere and use if for grip exercises
