The only way to convince that this works is to show it against a competent and determined attacker rather than a dancing partner. Anything else is a deliberate attempt to mislead or satisfy the ego.

The amount of self-delusion there is in martial arts never ceases to amaze me, it is shocking really that presumably normal people can be taken in by this sort of rubbish.

No one would buy a washing machine that did a half-assed wash, then stopped half way through for a rest, but some people happily spend money on stupid training that does not work.
