    Sport wrestling from 1539

A dynamic presentation of some of Fabian von Auerswald's wrestling techniques (dating to 1539). It's been a long time since I looked into this style, but IIRC it's considered to be competitive/sport wrestling of the period rather than the bone-snappier kampfringen (combat wrestling) illustrated in other treatises.

He does an arm shuck to hip toss at 1:03-5 that I really like. I've never seen it either.

I plan on trying it out next time I'm on the mats.

I'm pretty far from an expert, but it looks like a soto makikomi to me. A judo guy could probably clarify though.

Perhaps I should have said I've never seen that particular entry to that throw.

This is pretty cool. I've often wondered how the spectrum of Ringen could be seen, that is the spectrum between "sport Ringen" and "combat Ringen", and this sort of makes that a bit easier to visualize.
