I blame Maoris Fijians and Samoans for my gut, Playing tight head in the pack when i was a squaddy I had to eat like **** and train like **** to get my weight up so they didn't just swat me off the pitch like a fly. Slightly off topic. But criticising or abusing someone's religion is not bigoted.
Religion is simply an opinion on the origins of the universe etc and as such is open to be questioned and mocked just as someone's opinion on politics etc. Or to put another way I have no more need to respect a man's religion than I do to respect his opinion that his wife is beautiful and his kids are smart.
If I think beheading someone for blasphemy is disgusting (I do) then I feel that not only do I have a right to attack the religion involved but it is a moral imperitive.
Sorry to sidetrack the thread but I don't think religion deserves the same protection as race. -
