Good for him. Getting humiliated in jam sessions is what prompted me to spend 8-12 hours a day on the guitar, for a decade...before gigging much.

It's interesting to see how the boxer's level changing throws him off. That part of the equation is changed by the presence of knees and head kicks in kickboxing. His movement is much more like a boxer's now (this was around 6 months ago IIRC). He's been dragging himself down to the Y and training boxing with a different crew. I think he;s planning on making a triumphant return to boxing sparring at redline in the future ;)

Edit: also noticed that he was using a Thai clinch instead of a boxer's clinch.

I thought sirc was DTT the first time I saw their vid. I was thinking, why give him ****? He's owning him, and that little chunner isn't doing much.

Were this a TD, you wouldn't have to rely on a gym hookup. Ten to fifteen mat fees goes much further to persuade than gong sau timez.

I don't see the big separation anyway. I imagine a good few of the TD attendees have sparred all out, or seen it in the gym at some point. Hell the NY td's involved lots of hard sparring that I saw in my 2 td trips to the Apple.

Gong sau, then td, then food and drinks in little five points (last time I was there we encountered a drag marching band parade iirc.) I will, but I don't want to come hours to ATL, for a single slap fight. I wanna get hit too~!
