    Never Back Down...2?!?!

Performed the prerequisite search and didn't find anything:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Never_Back_Down_2

Plot (for those who do not want their movie-going experience tainted, I provided spoiler tag).

    Spoiler:
Ex-boxer Zack (Alex Meraz), talented MMA fighter Tim (Todd Duffee), bullied record store clerk Justin (Scott Epstein), and wrestler Mike (Dean Geyer) come from very different backgrounds, but they share a passion for the “savage science” and quickly become loyal to their unorthodox trainer, Case (Michael Jai White), a brilliant ex-UFC Champion down on his luck.

Teaching them about much more than fighting, Case prepares the young men for a competition called the Beatdown, run by local college kid and fight impresario Max (Evan Peters). When their mentor gets set-up by some bad cops, the young men band together to root out a traitor in their midst.

    At least this has potential:

    Surely the plot would be:

Picks up where the first movie (Karate MMA Kid) leaves off. Mr. Miyagi Brazillian guy and Daniel whatever his name was, take a trip to Okinawa Brazil to visit Mr. Miyagi Brazillian guy's dying father. After arriving Mr. Miyagi Brazillian guy finds he still has feelings for an old love. This stirs up trouble with an old rival that he originally left Okinawa to avoid. In the mean time Daniel whatever his name was, encounters a new love and also makes some enemies.

Can we for just once have an MMA movie where it is a legit competition and not an illegal basement fight league and/or somehow rigged by organized crime ?

I want an MMA movie about a man/woman who trains for 3 years, wins a few smokers/tournaments, becomes a slightly better than mediocre fighter then finally gets a job in the field he/she went to college for and leaves MMA behind and becomes nothing more than a really well informed fan of MMA. Maybe a sequel about he/she decides to train again and realizes how out of shape they got.

My sentiments exactly. Why can't it be like a football movie. Someone who had related training all their life is introduced to mma and realizes that they have talent. After some time they get a once in a lifetime opportunity, and they must gear up for the toughest opponent and competition they will ever have to face.

Actually forget it. It would be too cliche and boring. How about we just agree that this sport is not going to get a good movie for a very long time.

I wouldn't mind seeing a "Spinal Tap" style mockumentary about the early UFC.
