I love when the big boys realize that simply being big isn't everything. And when you don't even have to pull out all the tools, it's even better."Never trust a quote you read on the internet" - Abraham Lincoln

Lol legkicks are a great way to teach a lesson the effect lasts quite a while.
Also the chute boxe guy I've met had been....well quite insane, but he loved it when I fought back as hard as I could and didn't quit after he went psycho hard on me. But like I said he was a psychopath.

Last year it was a prima dona fighter who wouldn't listen to anybody unless you could beat his ass.
The year before that was the most fun I had; my entire fight team wouldn't listen to me. I've told this story before but I just lined them up against the wall and started to do full contact on every one them. Out of 6 guys the entire session lasted about 3 minutes.
The year before that I went WWE on a smart ass thug on the fight team.
The year before that was one of the fight coaches thinking that MMA was the best form of self defense.
The year before that a TKD blackbelt but he chickened out.
The year before that was the smart ass thug again.
I'm starting to get too old for this. I figured one of my guys would be stepping up by now and taking my place.

The Karate dojo where I train (old-man stuff...it doesn't work), there are the occasional fightshirt-clad dojo-stormers who come in for their "free class" looking to damage/humiliate/whatever somebody. Full of knowledge about what constitutes krotty, they protest vehemently when I answer their thinly-veiled challenges with an o-soto-gari, kata-guruma, kubi-nage-into-scarf-hold or some such.
"Ow! Hey! What the ****? Krotty doesn't have any of that!"
"Well", I respond, "I guess you know better than me".
The place is obviously much too easy for them...they never come back.

I have trouble with how to treat this situation, as a boxing coach in a town full of cocky troublemakers there comes a point where nearly everyone I train starts thinking they're better than me because they can out point me in a friendly controlled contact spar. The ones with big enough balls to say something have been put in their place, but sometimes I've lost talented students because I'm too nice.(Its hard with my fighting style as I win fights through pressure and putting on the hurt.) It seems they only respect you if you kick their arse so as a result guys with no idea and a gung-ho attitude are building a rep.
