Thread: Shotput lifting?

Does anyone else use the shotput as part of their training routine? I have two eight pounders that I use for arm circles, the 'tea serving exercise', holding the ball, and otherwise building my grip, upper-arm strength, and strengthening my sinews. i'm considering getting one sixteen pounder to go with it, for the two-handed exercise.
Nothing seems to be as good for my grip and wrist as holding an eight pound shot upside down.
Anyone else do this kind of training?

To comment on your post: Good way of training. I personally don't train grabbing balls but it seems to be effective for you.
