You have to keep in mind, that in the world of Chinese martial arts, you can do a lot worse than the Chun. Imagine if they had made it compulsory plum flower boxing lessons instead:

I'd have to guess it's a marketing gimmick?
Setting aside whether one thinks Wing Chun is an effective striking art,
training your staff to strike passangers when confronted seems like a bad idea. Maybe some form of grappling would be the way to go?
What does the forum think? What's the best martial art for pretty young flight attentants?
