I tried to +rep you for that post too, but was also informed that pushups were in order.
If you can't do pushups, sit ups or pull ups are acceptable substitutes. No excuses.

When my grandfather died, I purchased a bronze star to pin on his lapel in the coffin. He was a WWII vet, and won the Bronze Star for blowing up Nazis (quite literally) during the 417th Reg/76th Div. crossing of the Sauer River into Germany in Feb 1945.
It occurred to me when I purchased it (online) how easy it was. I wondered how many fake ass posers were wearing one to look like badasses.

I hate pushups, situps, and lifting weights. I did so much of that from junior high through graduate school and beyond due to training for Judo competition, I literally can't stand the thought of it. Riding a bike, hiking, cutting firewood, etc, Judo and stretching I can still stomach. I'll do some extra nagekomi tonight at judo class,I've got plenty of victims.
How about I go get another load of manure for the garden. I hand-shovel it on pickup truck load at a time?

Yes - there really are a significant number of pricks who do that, and then mill around at parties trying to look important. Or worse - teach karate.

The color of the belt, citations and medals, all in themselves are worth absolutely nothing (well, maybe except what you paid for it) except for the person who earned it. Who gives a rats ass about what **** other people are wearing.
A bunch of vets have told me the only honors that counted were purple hearts.
