This isn't for learning how to box. It's for sparring on your own, at home.
Or, as a standard piece of gym equipment.
$1000 is not a lot for a piece of high tech gym equipment.

How is this any better than a wooden dummy?
I take it back its much much worse than a wooden dummy.
I guess it is cool from a robotics perspective but just awful from a fight training perspective.

I find it interesting that Bullshido posters often tout modern training methods as superior to "traditional" ones, but don't express any faith in applying advanced technology to fight science and training, in creative new ways.

If people want to pretend to box and get some fitness out of it fine, but to actually learn the style, training with humans will never be beaten.
I'm all for technology improving martial arts and sports on the whole but this just a money spinner.

That might be cool if they made it into an arcade game you put a quarter in, and put sensors on it so it registers when it gets hit and when it touches you. At least that way, there would be a better return on the investment.

It should have 4 arms and 4 legs, attacking from all angles.
