Jake Shields hype
I know the UFC is in the business of selling fights but c'mon Jake Shields is good but he isn't as good as GSP. Or am I just crazy?
Jake shields isnt exactly **** either. While my money is completely on gsp what are they ment to do go.
"GSP VS.....who gives a **** GSP is gonna win."
That a wont sell any fights. Also its MMA anything could happen
agreed, i dont give him a chance but **** they have to have him fight someone.
He might surprise....or they might bore each other to death. Double-mortality TKO.
That's not to say, if he puts GSP on his back, GSP is gonna be in some trouble, but that's much easier said than done.
So, yeah, GSP by "whatever he feels is the safest, most guaranteed, sure-fire way to get the W" - cause he's smart.
I think you are crazy, my money is on Shields.

He is on a 15 fight winning streak since 2005.
I think this is a pretty good resume vs GSP, I dont think it will be a easy fight but I believe Jake Shields will be the dominate fighter on the ground and will pull off a second round submission.
Now to just hope I'm right.
I'm less afraid of it being a mismatch, than a zzzfest. They're both great athletes. I just hope they're ready to do the damn thing.
Shields is worthy of the hype.
He may be one of the most boring fighters to watch but the fact that...
a. He's on a 15 fight winning streak.
b. He has World Class Jiu Jitsu.
c. He went up to middleweight and dominated Dan Henderson - Everybody's talking about GSP's wrestling but if Hendo could'nt keep the fight standing GSP may struggle also.
All go to show he could well be the guy to beat GSP (at Welterweight).
Dont get me wrong If i had to put money on it I would always go with GSP but Shields is more than a worthy opponent.
hendo was basically a cripple in that fight dude. his back was fucked, couldnt get off the ground. he was walking around like my grandma before the fight even began.
Shields has a good chance chance on the ground, if he manages to get a hold of GSP, get him down, and keep him down. Which isn't going to be easy considering Shields' standup couldn't kill a fly, and GSP has stuffed or gotten right back up from guys with wrestling at the level of Koscheck and Fitch. And let's be realistic, Shields isn't invincible on the ground either considering Mayhem was about 5 seconds from putting him to sleep if the bell didn't save him.
I'm saying GSP by TKO in round 3.
