    Good to hear these things.

Currently my brother in law is in Fukashima and is suffering from PTSD due to the aftershocks. We are sending him packages as we can and I would ask that if you can to please do so again by sending it to the Red Cross. This is taking a huge toll on my wife but like a true warrior she is hanging in there. The Japanese people are an amazing group and we can all learn very much from them.
Judo is only gentle for the guy on top.

A guy from our dojo has friends over there, and recently forwarded me an email he'd received from them.

It was so full of casual selflessness, concern for others in worse conditions, and general willingness to carry on as best you can, that in a single email it put our British "stiff-upper-lip" to shame

My six year old daughter really amazed me after she saw the damage. She was very upset and wanted to do something when she saw kids dealing with the trauma on the news. My wife & I explained what happend and she felt so bad & wanted to help buy new toys for the little kids.

She started making paintings to sell at $10 a pop. She raised over $370 dollars (including a couple nice purchases from a couple actors from the TV show Castle on ABC). With my wife's company matching all the funds my daughter raised, she wound up with a total of $740. We were blown away and so very proud of her. It feels good when your kids start doing good for others at such a young age.
