    Hell yeah! Hell no!

How much do you pay for training?

What the title says, how much do you pay for training?
I'd like to get an idea of how much other people pay.

I pay about $160/month, which I think is a bit high, but I checked out all of the martial arts places around me and I'm at the best one I could find.

I think I've been to where you train. As Taekwondo goes (I know Hapkido) you may be right but I know for a fact there are some good gyms in your area.

Erm, you're not going to get a very accurate comparison since I'm like an ocean away but back when I still did tkd it was $6 a lesson (up to 3 hours) in Hong Kong. Here in Aus, the dojang across the road from my boxing gym charges $60 for unlimited.

$160 is enough to learn two plus styles plus get a gym membership lol xP

Actually you just gave him an accurate comparison for a Korean Martial Art.
Using a 30 day cycle, his charges comes to $5.33 a day.

I hide money around the Dojang because my instructor won't take it from me anymore.

Was paying nothing for TKD after i got my BB, but we were/are having trouble finding students so i'm only paying $5 per lesson.

    Boxing is $9 per session

I just started Muay Thai again and am getting 1 on 1 training for $70, usually for an hour, but sometimes an hour and a half if i'm sparring with another client.

Boxing $6 a session. MMA $2 a session. Will probably go up though as we get more proffessional.

I want to learn how to fight. Eventually I'd like to compete in some form or another. The Hapkido I'm getting here appears to be quite a bit above par. (Hands up, chin tucked, don't try to land 540 spin kicks in sparring, people resist techniques instead of being compliant, we work takedowns-> BJJ style submissions, no _i blast nonsense, etc)

Yes, from what I've heard that particular gym is the best one in Denton BJJ wise.

The school is Powerkicks Training Academy and owner is Mst. Mike Nestor. They don't teach TKD anymore for whatever reason.

I'm fairly certain I'm not being fed BS, however, until I spar some people outside my school I won't really know.
