Good thing for the redneck that the mexican dude had a shitty plan and stuck with it.
roflmao!! You are so right. And I would have preferred seeing Keon's bus ride back to wherever they **** he as from than watch that fight. What a punk ass excuse putting that **** on his daughter. I forgot the guy they interviewed about that **** said. I'm like, you were not in shape, you got outworked by everyone on your team and you quit. That's cool...the UFC ain't for everyone. If you want to be a part time fighter and what not...you shoulda just left. All this..."I just see my daughter saying daddy" is total bullshit.

    Oh..doing this in reverse...a recap...

Fighter Keon wants to go home and see his daughter...wants to quit. JDS tells him he shouldn't. Dana asks him if he really wants to be there...he says yes...then quits anyway. It is obvious to everyone that he didn't come in shape and had zero comittment.

JDS picks his 2nd best guy...Javier to go against Brock's next worse guy playing the averages. Brock pretty much shits his pants and gives THE WORSE motivational speech ever. It was kind of like..you have no chance of winning..but what the ****..give it a shot.

Then we witness 15 witness of bad gay porn where the underdog wins...mainly because javier focused in on one thing the Team Quest coach said about his opponent "he hates being grinded on the cage" so that's all that javier did...for 15 minutes.

I did like how all of the coaches were being cool then dude from Team Quest kind of went off ...so judging from the previews the week before they wanted to lead us into thinking that that brock meltdown was for the next week. However, anyone who has watched the series know that the house drama and coach meltdown carrots will be thrown liberally throughout the season.

Overall, this episode is showing me that Brock is kind of in over his head coaching guys that don't have his physical tools. He is complaining the whole training session. The other thing is we don't see any of his guys training any stand up. Heck, he tells them after the upset. Chicken **** beat chicken salad...we're chicken ****! Way to motivate 'em Brock!

    Where's Erik Paulson?!?

I honestly didn't think his "any given Sunday" speech was all that terrible (except that he completely ripped it off from Any Given Sunday), but I couldn't help but laugh when Brock used his dumbass chicken salad expression again after his guy had won. The guy looked completely deflated, like he was thinking, "Oh yeah, I suck. Thanks for reminding me coach."

yeah. I mean this was hindsite. At the time he said the any given sunday speech..i was kinda like...what else you gunna say. But after the chicken ****/salad comparison after the fight...I'm like it made the motivational speech worse. Made me think maybe they edited or something. Up until that point we only heard him talking to the camera about not being able to help these guys and that they all sucked.

Personally I think Brock is the type of fighter that is use to being the center of the training session. All the partners are there to prep him and the coaches are there for him. He isn't quite capable of switching to that coaching perspective. Also his physical gifts have hindered him from understanding what these guys need to do to have their techniques work for someone of their size and strength. I also think because of his indepth and singular wrestling experience he isn't able to develope the guys who are okay strikers into excellent strikers who can defend wrestling, instead he is going to continue pushing them towards wrestling and they wont be able to pull off what he wants....because they are bloody him.

I think you're right about Brock. It's really starting to show. You see his frustration and "just do it right" type of mentality. I think the producers could be manipulating this though because you are not seeing any of his coaches. However, you see him pacing with the "these guys really suck" attitude. Seems more like a frustrated HS football assistant being forced to coach the wrestling team or something.

The fighters seem terrified of Brock and are more trying not to piss him off. You are talking about 100% terrified. Even during the fight you keep hearing him say "you got underhooks...what are you doing? you got underhooks!" it's almost like he expects them to do what he would do. Initially I thought Brock would suck, then after episode 1 I had hope, now I am back to this being a terrible idea. He has said that he can't do anything with these guys and can't make chicken salad out of chicken ****...ok..then why are you the coach? You, from what they showed us, used cardio and conditioning as your determining criteria for picking your fighters. You picked your team and your top guys were not the same as JDS..so why do you keep complaining about how bad your guys suck?

Seems more and more like Dana begging Brock to do this to try to ressurect his cash cow. Still thinking after this JDS fight we will never see Brock again....unless he wins. If he takes another beating, which is likely, he's packing it up.

You know after this episode I really coudn't care less about Lesnar or his coaching methods in this season. He seems to expect perfection the first time and goes all "Son, I am dissapoint" when it doesn't happen. I'm more interested in Dos Santos and how he approaches things. He seems to using the Big Nog school of coaching when it comes to his relationship with the fighters but one of the carrots for next episode was him pulling a coach aside. JDS seems like such a nice guy it'll be interesting to see if he can suddenly channel a bit of inner Vader when nessesary.

i think we are witnessing the decline of brock. my prediction is that in 5 years or less, brock will be out of the UFC, have an "autobiography" ghost written for him, and be coaching in a university wrestling program.
