I think the idea is that, it'll be hidden, and a very close range thing. They did say there was extra shot attachment.
Minus the optional picatinny rail, which is suited for the LaserLyte subcompact V2 laser site, extra round carrier or other accessories, the .38 special caliber weapon is extremely light with an unloaded weight of only 13.4 ounces.
a picatinny rail is for mounting sites? ah, I see.

Looks like a good product, assuming it's not prone to jamming! -

This type of pistol is nothing new. They've been around since the late 1800s. I'm all for collecting cool guns that you don't see every day. But there's absolutely no possible use for this thing that can't be better filled by another weapon.
The arguments they make for the practicality of this pistol in the article are ridiculous:
"They may fail to properly draw, ready and aim their weapon, or may simply miss. Due for release this year, the Palm Pistol is designed to give non-aggressors a better chance of surviving a violent attack."
And just how does this contraption remedy that? It doesn't.
"It is intended for home defense"
Hahahahahaha! You so funny!!!
"This makes the Palm Pistol suitable for seniors or others who may have limited manual strength"
If you're too feeble to pull a trigger on a revolver, you have no business handling any firearm.
"Minus the optional picatinny rail, which is suited for the LaserLyte subcompact V2 laser site, extra round carrier or other accessories"
Picatinny rail? Laser sight? Come on, it's not still April fools is it? Again, this kind of thing was first conceived in the late 1800s. It was basically meant to stick in somebody's gut and pull the trigger. What kind of moron would put a laser on this piece of ****? -

Seems to me that a gun should be something that someone who wants to do you harm should look at and immediately think twice. Anyone who sees a gun pointed at them knows that there's a deadly weapon pointed at them. Does that palm pistol have the same psychological effect? I doubt it.
A girl I've been seeing has three guns, and the one she carries is a little pink-framed number. My first thought was that if she points it at someone, they might not even think it's a real gun:

Good point. I've heard people make the statement before "Don't pull out a gun unless you know you're going to use it." I think that's complete bullshit. If you're able to use your gun as a deterrent instead of killing someone, then it's a good day.
This contraption isn't going to deter anyone because they're not going to know what the hell it is. There's no point to pull it out unless you're gonna' kill somebody. -
