Warrior Dash / fun runs

Has anybody done one of these 3 mile runs with obstacles? I'm signed up to do one and would like some advice about what I need to work on, besides running obviously, from people who have done these before.

I've done one called the Mud Run but that was more of a military thing, so no fun Viking helmets or anything. There was small walls to climb, a bunch of mud you had to crawl through to avoid wires, and part of it was through a lake.

The Tough Mudder makes all of those look like a sunday stroll in the park. One of the guys from our gym and one of the guys from my office did it this past year. I know a couple of other people that do Warrior Dash pretty regularly. I personally don't run unless something serious is chasing me...

I don't usually run unless a very large person with knife is after me either. I am just hoping to finish this thing with some dignity. It's just giving me something to work toward. 3 miles shouldn't kill me, anyway.
