Kosherkickboxer did very very well, at all things but beating strike at something...but damnit he tried. Sneak attacks and everything.

I will admit to a certain parental pride when he nailed Strike with the "lookie-loo" watch-my-rear-hand into stiff jab combo. KK is getting better all the time, but Strike is older and too far ahead. The current crop of MMA guys at Redline don't really know KK, and they don't know what to make of his extreme needling/challenging/smack-talk towards Strikistanian. They don't realize he thinks of it as a sort of sibling rivalry. I jokingly told Gabe I was going to send him to Ceasar Gracie's for the summer; he'd fit right in.

Everyone did very well, and we all learned. Arbeiter said it's an open invite for throwdowns...so I wanna do another late June-ish.

I'm down for that :D

The money is secondary, time is the problem. I work a rotating shift, with two weeks mirroring each other, M-TF, and SS-TW. 12 hour days, 6a-6p. I take a drum lesson Thursday nights 8-8:45. So, I could focus on one class like you say, take advantage of the mid-week open training, but the Thursday would be out every other week. If I were to sidle in, I'd probably go with the ten-pack of classes, but, most likely, I'll decide to buy into a membership of some sort.

I also have a fishing problem, but that schedule is pretty flexible.

PS: "ERM" are my initials. "Ghoti" is technically a semi-legitimate English spelling of "fish."

I use the pre paid blocks myself. If your schedule is irratic, I suggest trying SanDa first as all the (level appropriate) boxing and kickboxing classes are available (ie, you have more options on more days that fit together). If you want to add a little grappling on the side, start watching the first 3 lessons of the Gracie University curriculum, and try out what you learn whenever you can make it to open mat. It's no substitute for real BJJ training, but it beats the hell out of being completely in the dark (and it's free). As an added bonus, I showed you half of that material (in brief) when we practiced, so it will not be unfamiliar.

Man..my shoulder was on fire for my gig today (1-5pm reggae is the d3adly). Jordan was so happy to get subs down, and rather enthusiastically peeled off an arm and leaped into the armbar.

Matt, your crappling was very good. You threw me around a bit, but I'll be back, with more than one years-ago grappling class under my belt.

KK's rivalry with Strike is touching. It's funny for Strike to be so young..and yet be a mentor of sorts..(mentor/target whatever)
