Cross training doesn't necessarily make them modern.

We are talking more striking than grappling and consistent ability. Not saying anything negative, but many WC schools have seminars and their striking is still sub-par. As cullion noted they do not incorporate, use or try to fix their chun.

Kamon spars with gloves and in the ring when they were last posting. They also changed from "feeding" to realistic sparring.

So you could say he has been "chunned". :-p

    Sorry, I couldn't resist.

If you can read Spanish or German (no English available): http://www.thewingrevolution.com/

Victor Gutierrez changed his style enough that in the beginning I didn't even know that one of my Boxing/Kickboxing sparring partners was doing The Wing Revolution, I thought he was doing London Prizefight Rules Boxing.

Unfortunally he has only got schools in Spain, Portugal, Belgium and Germany and his school are a bit McDojo nowadays with WingFight (Wing Revolution), WingWeapon (Latosa Escrima)and WingBJJ (by BJJ instructors) programs taught beside WingKids, WingTeens, WingWomen, WingFit, WingFlexibility, etc... programs.

I don't know why Bullshido hates Wing Chun but I know why I hate it. See, I have a fetish for leg kicks and most Wing Chun seems to exist in a universe where they must not exist.

    ^^^This

I also have, what you might call hatred, for the 100,000,000 youtube videos of how wing chun destroys (fill-in-the-blank), the videos themselves containing more LARP than the Annual Guild of Medieval recreational re-enactment's summer BBQ.

Your posting style is extremely hard to comprehend. I can never tell if you are joking or to which posts you are responding.

They know they exist and they believe in checking kicks in response. I'm not saying that will work against you, it's just what I was taught when I did 'chun.
