    Hell yeah! Hell no!

Skull-masked armed robber foiled via Machete.

Wearing a skull mask, and wielding a gun, a man burst into an Orlando house early Tuesday morning demanding money and pills.

At one point, the fiance of a women threatened with the intruder's gun, walked out from the back room hiding a machete behind his back, and then confronted the intruder.

Upon then being confronted with the machete, the intruder fled outside, firing back several times at the knife-wielding persuer.
Officers searched for him at the scene, and a subsequent phone tip led deputies to a nearby dumpster, where they found 36-year-old Neil Johnson, his mask, and a semi-automatic weapon.

Johnson, is being held at the Orange County Jail without bond, facing a charge of armed occupied burglary with a firearm.

On a side note, during the arrest, a deputy was bitten by one of the K-9 dogs involved, but not seriously hurt.

Because bullets can't deflect a machete either, and pissed off people with machetes are scary.

Like most people, even those who wield guns, when the moment arrived, he didn't have it in him to shoot someone....let alone four people. Just like tma's where you're supposed to gouge an eye out, or rip the cheek open with a fishhook move.

    I"m glad he didn't shoot anyone...mind you.

Its not just that. At close range, machete's lethality against an assailant within a few steps goes up tremendously against a firearm. On the other hand, firearm's lethality doesn't really change if the distance is closer. Guy made the smart move.

Plus, jail time for armed robbery might be better than jail time for murder + armed robbery + whatever else charges, even if you win.
