Kids Martial Arts; South Eastern Vertmont

One of my really young kids is moving to the area and I'm looking for a decent kids instructor. Anybody got any ideas for me?

1)The state Vermont or somewhere called Vertmont?

2)What in particular are you looking for> Grappling? Striking? Krotty?

3)Do you have a more precise location?

4)What age are we talking about?

(If they are near to Hanover Dartmouth has quite a few clubs that I believe are open to the public subject to minimum age requirements.
    http://www.dartmouth.edu/~ima/ for example.)

If he's in the Brattleboro area, he's likely better off crossing the bridge into Keene, NH. There's a school there that, at least five years ago, had some enthusiastic kids, though I don't know the particulars of the program or the teacher. It was called Martial Arts Principles.

Wow, you can't even let a typo go....sheesh....I would like to know if there are any instructors that teach young kids. At this age I could care less about the style.

If they were just a little bit further west I'd recommend Evans Kempo school, which was an excellent non profit Kosho school near where I used to live.

I remember there was the Brattleboro School of Budo, which I am sure had a kids class. I think they were Goju Ryu

    Sorry I was just checking...

    Some options.

    http://www.okadojo.com/ Lebanon NH
http://www.nimmadojo.com/ Claremont NH (looks a bit hokey)
    http://www.shubukanryu.com/classes.html Hartford VT
    http://www.budokai.us/ White River VT
    http://twinstatebba.com/ Springfield VT
http://www.bluewavetkd.com/ Is a relatively big TKD org in the region

I don't know too much about the stuff down that way as I live to the north and travel up to Burlington for Judo...

Brother in law and niece & Nephew train at Bradford Blue Wave location, Its TKD which I'm not a fan of but there is a lot of kids involved and they compete regularly...

I've heard mixed things about Brett Mayfield in Hartford but he might be worth checking out.

The Budokai Place is mostly Goju Ryu but they do some Judo and one of the head instructors sons popped into our club a while ago and could hang.

I heard good things about the Aikido place in Woodstock but I don't think they do Kids classes...

If we were talking about further north I could help more. If you could give a more exact location I can ask around.

Oh and if they can make it to Grantham NH I would recomend Upper Valley Judo http://www.uppervalleyjudo.org/

Where in VT? I train at http://www.greenmountaindojo.com in Waterbury VT. It's Kyokushin with a traditional focus, and we've got a solid kids program. If we're too far away, I can dig around and see what my contacts here recommend closer to where your student will be.
