    I know this is going back in the thread a bit but I think these sentences sum up why boxing is probably not for you:

    It is exactly because it is too much to grasp in one session that every session will be like this.

    That is in fact how you are supposed to eventually learn to do it right.

    Would you really prefer that the coach allowed you to ingrain bad habits by only correcting one element of your work in each session?

    Or perhaps you are now willing to concede that you need to suck it up and hope that in your case effort + time = competence, because I cannot promise you that they will only that without them competence is impossible!

    I'm not suggesting being fat is a good idea, but I can think of a few of tubby or downright fat heavyweight boxers who competed at high levels as professionals.
