I know this is going back in the thread a bit but I think these sentences sum up why boxing is probably not for you:

It is exactly because it is too much to grasp in one session that every session will be like this.

That is in fact how you are supposed to eventually learn to do it right.

Would you really prefer that the coach allowed you to ingrain bad habits by only correcting one element of your work in each session?

Or perhaps you are now willing to concede that you need to suck it up and hope that in your case effort + time = competence, because I cannot promise you that they will only that without them competence is impossible!

This **** should be plastered over the entrance of every gym in the world.

In fact, get it tattooed in reverse on your face StepInCross, that way you can ignore good advice every time you look in the mirror instead of coming here and wasting everyone else's fucking time.

Now shut your whining fucking trap and go train.

I'm not suggesting being fat is a good idea, but I can think of a few of tubby or downright fat heavyweight boxers who competed at high levels as professionals.

And come on, everybody loves Butterbean.

[QUOTE=StepInCross;2525344]I'm thinking of going into boxing again and I don't to waste time and money going into a boxing gym only to discover that I don't have the physique to practice the interesting stuff
you wont need a physique to practice interesting stuff, but by the time you've REALLY learnt some cool **** chances are your body will be sorted out
